Day 2: Bangalore | Sightseeing
Begin your day with a session of golf at the Bangalore Golf Club ,founded on June 24, 1876. Re-designed by Peter Thomson, Bangalore Golf Course is the second oldest golf course in India. The eighteen-hole course started with browns, which were later converted to greens. However, the scarcity of water in the area is a major constraint. Besides trees and deep ditches, the major hazard on the course is the Bangalore crow that often picks up the ball, mistaking it for an egg. It is therefore, not surprising that the logo of the Bangalore Golf Club depicts a crow with a ball in its beak.In the afternoon, take a half-day city tour of Bangalore, the Garden City and visit Lal Bagh, which has a variety of old trees, fountains, lotus pools, terraces and an assortment of tropical herbs and sub-tropical herbs. Also, see the government buildings and the Maharaja’s Palace. Dine at Indian Restaurant (at your own expense.) Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Bangalore.
DAY 3: Bangalore – Mysore (100 kilometres, 3 hours)
In the morning, leave for Mysore. Enjoy a game of golf at the Eagleton Golf Resort enroute. This resort boasts of a 18-hole 72 par and 6632 yards long course. This international standard golf course is designed by reputed golf architects from Australia(M/s Pacific Coast Design Pvt. Ltd., credited with designing more than 150 championship golf courses around the world). The course conforms to USPGA standards. Its advanced computerized satellite sensor irrigation system (Rainbird Inc., USA) makes it a year round course. The centrally air-conditioned clubhouse, measuring about 2,25,000 square feet, is the biggest of its kind in South East Asia and offers leisure and business facilities of high standards. Drive back to Mysore. On arrival check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit Brindavan Gardens, one of the most beautiful gardens in India. Stay oOvernight at the hotel in Mysore.
DAY 4: Mysore – Ooty (158 kilometres, 4 hours)
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed for half-day city sightseeing tour of Mysore, visiting the palace of Maharaja built in 1911-12.The architecture of the palace is simply magnificent. DAY 5: Ooty
In the morning, play golf at the Ooty Golf Course. Ooty Golf Course is surrounded by the thickly wooded Avalanch Range. The altitude of 7,600 feet, a few degrees above the equator, provides a combination of light and thin air which is a near intoxicant, and the ball travels much further than it would in the plains because of the rarefied atmosphere. The Ooty Golf Course is not only scenic but also quite trying, and it would be wise for the visitor to play only nine of the 18 holes on the first day.Spend the afternoon at leisure. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel in Ooty.
