Tour Itinerary
Day 1: New Delhi – Leh ( Flight departure at 5 am )
Meals: Breakfast, light vegetarian lunch and dinner
Board an early morning flight from Delhi (subject to change) to Leh at 5 am. Spend the day to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. After a delicious meal, stay overnight at the hotel in Leh.
Day 2: Leh – Monastery tour and sightseeing
Meals: Breakfast and dinner
After breakfast this morning, drive to Thiksey Monastery. One of the most beautiful monasteries of Ladakh, it belongs to the Gelukpa Order of Buddhism. After this, drive to Shey Palace, located 15 kilometres south of Leh on the Leh-Manali highway.After arrival in Leh, you will be dropped to the Leh Market/hotel for lunch (on your own). After lunch, you will leave for sightseeing to Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Return to your hotel for a warm dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3: Leh–Nubra Valley Via Khardungla Pass (140 kilometres in approximately 5-6 hours)
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Early today, proceed to Nubra Valley via the World’s Highest Motorable Road, Khardungla pass(5602 metres.)Arrive at Nubra Valley and proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride (on your own). Later, if time permits, visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries and check in at the Deluxe Camp. Spend the evening at leisure. Stay overnight at the comfortable Swiss camps.
Day 4: Nubra Valley – Leh Via Khardungla Pass (140 kilometres in approximately 5-6 hours)
Meals: Breakfast and dinner
After breakfast this morning, proceed for Leh, once again driving via Khardungla pass, the World’s Highest Motorable Road. In the evening, explore Leh bazaar for souvenirs and visit Leh Jokhang or Leh Mosque by foot. Return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Sightseeing around Leh (80 kilometres round trip)
Meals: Breakfast and dinner
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Sangam. Enroute, visit Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. The Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers is in Ladakh at Nimu. Just before reaching Leh, visit Spituk Monastery (Kali Mata Temple) and Ladakh Hall of fame. Arrive at the hotel in Leh for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Excursion to Pangong Lake (280 kilometres round trip)
Meals: Breakfast, light vegetarian lunch and dinner
After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake on the Indo China border. Pangong Lake is situated in the north-eastern part of Leh, 4,350 metres above sea level.The calm water is cold, clear, and extremely salty. By the evening, come back to the hotel in Leh for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Leh | Day at Leisure
Meals: Breakfast and dinner
Today is a day to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Leh. You may want to walk down to the local bazaar to buy souvenirs that will remind you of your small but enthralling rendezvous with Ladakh. As an option, you may choose any of the various additions.
Day 8 : Fly Back from Ladakh to Delhi ( Departure: 7 am )
Meals: No meal
Leave on time for the Leh airport to board your flight to Delhi at 7 am (subject to change.)
